Olives & Plates Wits Club and Conference
While scrolling through social media, I stumbled upon this place and had to add it to my bucket list. Fast–forward three days, and I must admit, it looked better than it did on video. Olives & Plates Johannesburg is fancy, and their Wednesday special for breakfast was fantastic.
The presentation was lovely, and if you are here for breakfast, I’d recommend enjoying your breakfast special at their beautiful outdoor location – the water fountain, koi fish, and tranquil atmosphere make your breakfast an exceptional experience in Johannesburg to die for.
I’d recommend sampling their cakes—everything is baked in-house and delicious. Don’t worry if you are vegan—they have a lot for you to pick from. I had their newest offering, Brulee Brioche French Toast, for R152, which was terrific. It gets a little busy at noon, making its breakfast special quite a fascinating experience.

Papachinos
Papachinos has one of the best Wednesday specials in Johannesburg for breakfast for only R49. Yes, you read that right. This little gem will spice up your mid-week brain fog with a fantastic breakfast combo that’ll give you that extra kick to cruise through the week.
The first expression of the restaurant feels like a Mexican spot in Miami. The palm trees and outside seating are nostalgic for the American East Coast. There are good seating options outside, inside, or upstairs, overlooking the palm trees and street view. Papachinos are great for family hangouts.
The Wednesday restaurant specials at Johannesburg Papachinos for breakfast include brewed coffee, bacon, and eggs (not poached), salad (grilled tomatoes and onions), toast served with herb butter, or a Breakfast Omelette (two eggs) with your choice of fillings and toast (herb butter)—all for R49—which is a midweek bargain, if you ask me.

Mythos
Mythos is a top restaurant among many Jo’burg residents regarding restaurant specials. It also has one of the best Wednesday lunch specials in Johannesburg. The service, food, and staff are top-notch. Many of my friends in Jo’burg and I love this restaurant for one reason more than the rest – the service is quick, and it comes in handy when you are hungry for lunch.
The lunch special at Mythos only costs R75, and you get to pick from beef/chicken/halloumi and rump and chips, hake and chips, or calamari meze and fries. The lunch special at Mythos runs between 11:30 am and 4:30 pm – meaning you can still catch this special offer if you rush off work early.

Butcher Block Restaurant
If you love meat, you’ll love this fantastic Wednesday lunch special in Johannesburg. You’ll get the chance to savor your favorite aged steak and get a glass of juice, wine, or soda for free!
For only R89, you can choose between cheese sauce and fries or chicken schnitzel with mushroom, beef curry hake, and Greek salad. This special offer is valid between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm and 10:30 pm daily. Therefore, if you miss your chance on Wednesday, you can still turn this into a Johannesburg Thursday restaurant special.

Several restaurants in Johannesburg offer fantastic diner specials. I sampled the following, and they were to die for, and I’d recommend them for your Wednesday restaurant specials in Johannesburg.
Falcon Peak Spur
Sometimes, the best dinner special is from a fast food restaurant. There are two more days before the weekend, and you probably don’t want to waste too much time in the evening at a restaurant. If that’s what you want, I’d recommend checking out the Falcon Peak Spur Wednesday, which is unique in Johannesburg.
For starters, Falcon Peak Spur offers both inside and outside seating. For vegans, they also provide a great menu with many options. The staff at this location is everything, and honestly, I hope they get a bonus for the commitment they show their visitors.
For R179, you can choose between three combos: Mohawk, Warrior, and Malibu. All are served with chips and onion rings. I guarantee you’ll love either of the three.

Burgerack
You can enjoy some fantastic Wednesday restaurant specials in Johannesburg at Burgerack. This iconic Jo’burg restaurant has a Double Up Wednesday special where you can pick between two of your favorite burgers. If you aren’t a fan of burgers, you can also check out their lamp chop specials.
All the burgers come with fries. You can choose between the cheeseburger (R50), Mushroom burger (R50), or Stack burger (R80). The Wednesday dinner special is valid from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
