You might not know it, but Nairobi is the party capital of Africa. Its nightlife is ranked amongst the best on the continent, and if you happen to be on this side of the world, I’d advise you to check out some of the best nightclubs in Kilimani, Nairobi.
If Nairobi were the party central of Africa, Kilimani would be the nightlife heartbeat of Nairobi city. It thumps the hardest and features the best of urban Nairobi vibes—I’m talking about celebrities, the who’s who in Kenya, top corporate execs, and, of course, the coolest kids in town.
I don’t live in Nairobi—I’m a country boy—but I won’t miss a night out or two when I visit. I need to catch up with my friends, and best of all, I need to update my music playlist with the latest jams on the continent. If you stumbled upon this blog looking for the best clubs, lounges, and sports bars in Kilimani, Nairobi, I got you!

B-Club Nairobi
B-Club has been around for a long time. It’s one of those nightclubs in Kilimani, Nairobi, that survives the tides. It survived the global pandemic, and it’s still one of the exclusive places you can enjoy a night out in Nairobi.
There are a couple of things I love about B-Club. It’s exclusive, meaning you are going to meet some interesting Nairobians. It also stands in a great location at Galana Plaza, with more than enough parking and close proximity to the CBD.
You’ll likely bump into a celebrity even on a casual night out on a weekday – it’s that good. The ambiance is great, and for a minute, you might forget you are in Africa and think you are partying somewhere in Dubai. I’ve loved B-Club ever since I first walked into this establishment in 2018.
B-Club is open daily from 12 pm to 4 am.
Location: Galana Plaza, Galana Road, Kilimani, Nairobi.
Contact: (+254) 709 150 002.
Onyx Lounge & Restaurant
I have a soft spot for Onyx. Back in 2019, while living the city life, I frequented Marsabit Plaza because it was just a stone’s throw away from my studio. Those were good times. Onyx Lounge was and still is a good nightclub and restaurant in Kilimani.
It’s on the top floor of Marsabit Plaza along Ngong Road, and that means only one thing—you get to enjoy the amazing views of Kilimani and Hurligham as you thumb to the DJ’s favorite tunes. I’d recommend checking it out at night; make sure you get a nice spot early from the terrace, and you’ll thank me later.
The DJ is very approachable—the booth is at the center of the club, and on weekdays, you can make any request (make sure it’s not a themed night).
Onyx Lounge and Restaurant is open daily, 24 hours a day.
Location: Marsabit Plaza (along Ngong Road), Kilimani, Nairobi.
Contact: (+254) 797 655 500.
Black Stars Club and Lounge
I stumbled upon Black Stars Club and Lounge by chance—and to be honest, it was one of those club-hopping escapades. One of my friends just wanted to show off his knowledge of good nightclubs in Kilimani, Nairobi. Long story short, I loved it!
Black Stars Club and Lounge is indeed the newest jewel in the Nairobi nightlife scene. You’ll love the ambiance and the themed nights. A lot of hip Nairobians also visit this nightclub from Friday through Sunday.
One thing I’ll advise you about this space is you better not be a party pooper. The crowd is vibrant, the music is current and international, and, best of all – the experience is to die for. I absolutely love Black Stars Club and Lounge.
Black Stars Club and Lounge is open daily from 6 pm to 4 am.
Location: 2nd floor, Wood Avenue Plaza, Kilimani.
Contact: (+254) 706 690 356; (+254) 759 866 631.
Blacky’z Lounge
If you are young in heart, soul, and body, then you’ve got to visit Blacky’z Lounge. It’s the Nairobi cool kid lounge, and the crowd here is between 23 and 34 years old. Fashion sense, fast cars, and urban life are top priorities here. The music here is world-class, and for a second, you’ll think you are at a party in Manhattan.
If you enjoy some smoke and love an outdoor club, Blacky’z Lounge is the place to be. Just keep warm, dress in the latest trends, and be ready for a wild night out. I like this establishment because of its crowd. You are guaranteed a good time.
The only downside is the location on Argwins Kodhek Road; it can get too jam-packed during the weekend. On the good side, the services at Blacky’z Lounge are quick. Wait time on orders is less than 15 minutes.
Blacky’z Lounge is definitely one of those nightclubs in Kilimani, and you need to sample if you are visiting for the first time.
Location: Argwings Kodhek Road, Kilimani, Nairobi.

Kulture Resturant and Lounge
The first time I got a chance to rave at Kulture Restaurant and Lounge, I met the manager. He told me about their objective, and I loved it. It’s to celebrate and showcase Africa to the world through three touch points—sight, sound, and taste. And for sure, most nightclubs in Kilimani are run by this rule.
Kulture Restaurant and Lounge is one of those establishments where you’d meet celebrities and top musicians in Kenya on a weekday—that always means it’s going to be a fun night, especially when word gets around.
But we all love Kulture Restaurant and Lounge for promoting African music and culture. If you are touring Nairobi for the first time and would like to get a feel for the urban African vibe, I’d advise checking out this spot.
Kulture Resturant and Lounge is open 4p to 3am (Tuesday to Fridays), 4 pm to 5 am (Sarturdays) and 3pm to 5am (Sundays).

Number 7 Club
There’s one thing that takes me to Number 7 Club every time I visit Nairobi, and that is their cocktails. The barista at Number 7 Club is at the top of his game. Ask for any cocktail, and he’ll whip it out for you. Here’s the kicker – he’ll make a custom cocktail for your mood.
The decor and ambiance at Number 7 Club are inviting. The establishment took a lot of time to make the theme work, and best of all, the music is worth your while. I love visiting this nightclub because it’s a young, vibrant, and mature club—there are zero shenanigans at this establishment.
If you and your crew want some privacy, there’s a dedicated VIP section where you can enjoy the club’s patronage without the noise.
Number 7 Club is open from 10 am to 3 am daily.
Location: 23 Koinange Street, Nairobi.

The Clique Lounge
If you love live music, I’d recommend checking out Kulture Restaurant and Lounge. The last time I was here was for one of my friends, Ray, an all-white party. We loved the live band, and we loved it more because they played great music for our friend (that was so awesome).
You’ll get a chilled-out mature crowd here; there’s none of that campus frenzy party life. Additionally, the prices here are affordable even though it’s in an exclusive part of Nairobi. I love it for that.
Kulture Restaurant and Lounge also features a VIP section that’s totally soundproof (it’s a mature nightclub, after all). Come prepared for a chilled night out with friends and acquaintances.
The Clique Lounge is open 24 hours daily.
Location: Along Ngong Road,

If you are the type of person who enjoys music, some drinks, and African food, this establishment will definitely excite your tastebuds. Just remember, Dennis Pritt Lounge is a private sports bar and not entirely a full-blow raving spot.
I’d advise visiting this location with friends. You don’t want to show up alone here. It’s an experience you’ll want to share with people you know. Best of all – you’ll enjoy the vibrant music.
