14 Best Activities at Two Rivers Mall Nairobi (With Prices & Tips – 2026)

Last Updated on: May 26, 2026

If you are traveling to Nairobi and would like to explore the shopping scene, Two Rivers Mall is a top recommendation. Two Rivers Mall is the largest mall (67,000 square meters) in Nairobi, Kenya, and East Africa, making it a popular attraction among city residents and a must-visit for tourists. Checking out the shopping scene in Nairobi would be unusual, given all the rich culture you can explore, including wildlife, street food, heritage, and much more.

Still, don’t get me wrong: Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi offers some amazing and fun activities you can enjoy. For starters, it’s the most convenient and best location for tourists to shop, thanks to its proximity to diplomatic offices in Gigiri, the American Embassy, the upscale neighborhood of Runda and Muthaiga, Karura Forest, and Ruaka town.

One of the best locations I love to book my rental apartments (Ruaka Neighborhood) is close to Two Rivers Mall. As you’d expect, it’s the most convenient place for me to shop and dine when I don’t feel like going into Nairobi Central Business District. Additionally, the mall offers many fun activities you can enjoy. In this post, I’ll share some of my favorite Two Rivers Mall activities.

Quick Guide to Two Rivers Mall

Two Rivers Mall is located in the Ruaka neighborhood, along Limuru Road in Nairobi.

Ruaka is an upcoming, young, upbeat middle-class neighborhood located at the western end of Nairobi’s Northern bypass. Entrance into the mall is free, but you’ll still need to pay for some activities.

The Mall is open from 9 am to 10 pm (varies depending on activities). There’s a large outdoor parking lot, and additional indoor parking on the mall’s top floors. The best time to visit Two Rivers Mall is during the week (in the morning and early afternoon); weekends are livelier but busier.

Depending on your location, there are several transportation options to Two Rivers Mall, including a taxi, a motorbike taxi, or a short walk (via pedestrian walkways and paths from Ruaka and Kiambu Road).

Why it’s Worth Visiting

Beyond being a go-to destination (lifestyle and entertainment) for tourists and urban Kenyans visiting Nairobi, Two Rivers Mall is also a hub for international brands, delis, and clothing lines. It’s a one-stop shop for dining, shopping, and adventure activities. You can easily spend half a day or a full day without running out of fun things to do

Being one of East Africa’s largest entertainment and lifestyle hubs, Two Rivers Mall is ideal for families with kids, couples on dates, friend groups, and solo explorers.

Suggested Itineraries

Beyond being one of East Africa’s best lifestyle districts, it’s also a destination for sightseeing, thanks to its beautiful landscaped gardens, magnificent water features, and ponds. It’s not uncommon to spot couples sitting on the grass or lone explorers enjoying a book by the pond.

For Families with Kids

Families with kids will enjoy visiting Two Rivers Mall; there are many fun activities for children of all ages. Depending on how much time you want to spend, you can visit the Theme Park Rides, Kid-focused play zones, Ice Cream, and Desert Stands.

Ideal time: 3- 5 hours.

For Couples

Taking a loved one to a mall for a first date can feel a little bit off – but not at Two Rivers Mall. There are many romantic spots that’ll help both of you break the ice, including the Ferris Wheel, which is quite magical at night; the Cinema Complex; Dinner at the Rooftop or a balcony restaurant; and an evening walk around the mall’s lush garden and ponds.

Ideal time: 3-4 hours.

For Friends

Nairobi is quite big, and planning a meetup with friends at home can be a logistical nightmare with traffic, food preparation, and even parking within neighborhoods. Two Rivers Mall is an ideal venue for such gatherings. Friends can catch up while enjoying some Go-Kart racing, VR Games, Arcade Game Challenges, and casual dining or fast food at the food court.

In addition to dining at one of its top-rated restaurants or shopping at its exclusive shops, Two Rivers Mall offers Funscapes Theme Park, featuring activities to keep you engaged throughout the day. The following are fun activities at Two Rivers Mall that I love to indulge in and that I hope you’ll enjoy, too.

Flume Ride

It’s your typical log flume ride with a sprinkle of African vibe under the hot Nairobi sky. Therefore, you need to be ready to get wet and prepare for some wild screams and thrills as the ride navigates through fascinating turns, splashes through water puddles, and brings out your inner child.

I always enjoy the Flume ride. It’s the perfect fun activity at Two Rivers, where you can easily make friends or break the ice with other riders.

Charges: KES 500 per person per ride.

Ferris Wheel (Eye of Kenya)

It’s perhaps the first thing anyone sees when entering Two Rivers Mall. If you can’t see a Ferris Wheel, you are not in Two Rivers Mall. It’s also the largest crowd-pleaser at the mall since everyone wants to get a shot at riding up the wheel.

You won’t want to miss this ride because it offers the cheapest and most thrilling view of Nairobi’s northern side. It’s the perfect Two Rivers Mall fun activity for kids—and also loved ones—especially if you are trying to spark romance creatively on a budget.

The Two Rivers Ferris wheel features 40 cabins (6-person capacity) and rotates twice every 15 minutes.

Charges: KES 500 per person per ride.

Indoor Paintball

In case you are in the mood to get wild and shoot some paintball guns with your squad or a pack of like-minded adrenaline junkies, indoor paintball is the activity I’d recommend.

Don’t worry about getting messy with the pain. The mall staff will provide protective gear and instructions to ensure that your experience is exhilarating, fun, and, most importantly, safe.

This is the perfect place to break the ice or get into a cheerful mood, especially for traveling groups or individuals looking to make new friends.

Charges: Groups (1 – 9 individuals) KES 1,500 per person (10 individuals or more get a KES 200 discount at KES 1,300). Target Shooting KES 1,000 per individual (50 paintballs per session).

Go Karting

Go Karting in a mall? Yes! Two Rivers is quite huge—67,000 square meters, to be exact—and a Go-Kart ring, Madmax Karting, is just the tip of the iceberg. Well, if you are an automotive buff and would like to get into some fun-controlled motor racing, this is the fun activity to pick.

You’ll get the chance to push your Go Karts to the limit at a controlled, ultra-modern outdoor kart track. It’s quite a fascinating and safe experience. Weekdays and weekends have different charges.

Weekday Charges: KES 2,800 per person (10 minutes), KES 4,300 per person (20-minute drive), and KES 6,000 per person (30-minute drive).

Weekend Charges: KES 3,300 per person (10 minutes), KES 5,500 per person (20 minutes drive), and KES 7,000 per person (30 minutes drive).

VR Experiences

Virtual Reality is a significant part of the future of human technology, but it’s not cheap. You and your loved ones can enjoy high-tech VR experiences at Tron City in Two Rivers Mall. Checking out the digital world with your loved ones can be a fun experience – and funny too for those who aren’t accustomed to this amazing tech.

You can choose the immersive 9D VR Motion theaters or interactive VR adventures, which I’d like to note can be a little scary (in a good way) for individuals who haven’t experienced Virtual reality.

Charges: KES 500 – 700 for 30 minutes. Still, prices may vary depending on the VR experience you pick and the time you spend.

Airborne Shot

If you love getting shot into the air, I recommend trying out the Airborne Shot at Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi. It’s the ultimate adventure experience in a mall, getting shot into the air in a bungee trampoline-like effect.

Don’t be alarmed; each participant wears a harness attached to the bungee cord, and the effect is gravity-defying flips into the air that will get you spinning into an excited frenzy. I’d recommend this activity for adrenaline junkies.

Charges: KES 500 per person per ride.

Skating

As I stated earlier, Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi has a huge property, and if you are visiting with a group of kids, the skating rink would be the perfect spot to keep them occupied.

You can visit with your own gear or rent from the establishment or skating groups in the section. You could also enroll your child in a skating crash course (at a fee).

Charges: Depend on the activity, time, and group renting. If you have your own gear, it’s free to use.

Kidzania Rides

Kidzania is an engaging and inclusive edutainment experience for children at the Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi. Children can immerse themselves in edutainment activities such as storytelling, role-playing careers, and skill-building while having fun.

There are a variety of arcade games that can help boost your kids’ analytical skills, as well as fun, physical activities like beading that not only teach them new, helpful skills but also expand their minds through DIY projects. Kidzania is ideal for children ages 4 to 14. It’s best to take the kids early so they can get involved in more activities.

Charges: KES 1,000 (or more) depending on the activities.

Drop Tower

If the Airborne Shot isn’t exciting enough for you, and you’d like to feel your guts press on your chest as you swing around, I’d recommend trying out the Drop Tower.

This fun activity entails dropping down a tower (15 feet) in a death-defying stance. It’s like driving over a cliff in your car – but with safety harnesses and the guarantee you won’t get hurt, but derive a few laughs and screams in the process.

It’s the perfect activity for individuals looking to conquer their fear of heights.

Charges: KES 500 per person per ride.

Aqua Park (Best for Kids)

For some reason, kids love to play with water, especially when you are not looking and you are paying for it. Well, Aqua Park at Two Rivers Mall is their chance to play with all the water they like without hurting their pocket on the next water bill.

There are pools, splash slides, and thrilling fountains. Better yet, the staff actively look out for your kids and ensure they experience the best the park has to offer. Best of all, it is free.

PS: Adults and children over 12 are not permitted to use Aqua Park.

Charges: Free.

Outdoor Big Screen TV

Kenyans love watching soccer – it’s their favorite weekend pastime. Two Rivers Mall has a huge TV screen that’s perfect for watching from the garden. You can set up a picnic and enjoy your favorite teams in action as you soak up the lush green surroundings, or sit on one of the garden benches for an authentic outdoor sports-watching experience.

Charges: Free.

Amazing Restaurant Scene

Two Rivers Mall is quite expensive, and believe me, it can be tiring to walk through the shops, be entertained at the activity centers, or browse for items to buy.

If you are looking for a nice restaurant to eat at, there are tons of spots to pick from. Whether you are looking for a barbecue experience, a cozy cafe for some warm coffee, a deli for some delicious burgers, or just a nice spot to watch the buzzing atmosphere and enjoy your packed sandwich, there’s a designated spot for you.

Some popular restaurants at Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi include Burger King, Pizza Inn, and Artcaffe. Check the mall information center for more options.

Exciting Shopping District

If you are looking for something to shop for at the Two Rivers Mall, there’s a good chance you will find it. Two Rivers is the largest mall in East Africa, and as a result, there is a bounty of shops for anything you can think of.

Clothing, camping, automotive, fashion, food, jewelry, Souvenirs, tools—name it, and you’ll find it in Two Rivers Mall’s wide selection of shops.

Cinema Experience

Watching a movie at the cinema feels different, especially if you tag along on a date. It’s unlike anything you’d experience while watching your favorite Netflix movie, thanks to the exceptional sound, display, and comfortable seats designed for audiovisual entertainment.

At Two Rivers Mall, guests can catch their favorite and latest films at Century Cinema—a state-of-the-art movie theatre within the confines of Two Rivers Mall, Nairobi.

Practical Tips for First-Time Visitors

If it’s your first time visiting Two Rivers Mall and you want the best experience, it is best to visit on weekdays (in the morning or early afternoon). Here’s why. There aren’t as many people during the week, and you’ll also get to enjoy discount rates on most activities in the Mall. Evenings and weekends tend to be more crowded and vibrant.
