Turbo Tales KE

The story of Turbo Tales KE reminds me of early 2000s San Fransisco stories – just a couple of friends dreaming big, taking a chance at the big leagues, and winning their dreams. The dynamic duo of George Kingara and Luqmaan Nahid casually decided to change how automotive stories are told in Kenya, and it was an overnight success!

Their videos are witty, mostly unscripted, and engaging. The duo mostly do car reviews, but their unconventional presentation hits with the audience. Turbo Tales KE was the fastest-rising YouTube channel in Kenya when it started – it was an overnight success.

Turbo Tales KE Focus: Car Reviews, Random Drives, and Car Events.

Pamurick Show

Patrick Muriuki, the brainchild behind Pamurick Show, is a genius! At a time when every content creator was obsessed with car reviews and events – he carved out a new niche for himself, and the audience loved it! He chooses car auctions.

Kenyans love deals and bargains – forgive me for being callous, but Kenyans love cheap things. There I said it! And the Pamurick Show gave its audience a snippet of the car auction scene in Kenya. Patrick started as a – Whistleblower, but later, his channel morphed into an information hub for car enthusiasts interested in government car auctions in Kenya. He went into these auctions and bid on cars – successfully acquiring two. He’s also exposed the rot in the auction industry, and his efforts have helped build transparency during bidding – especially when he is around.

Patrick is expanding into consultation and car imports – a strategic move since he’s built trust with his ever-growing community.

Pamurick Show Focus: Car Auctions and Car Imports.

Automobile Cafe

Automobile Cafe, run by Adaka Araka, has been around for quite some time. It’s a slowly growing channel that has cultivated its loyal following over the years. Automobile Cafe is one of the first YouTube channels in Kenya to start a project car build and do it to completion.

At the time of publishing, the content creator had completed three project cars, some of which were sold to his loyal subscribers. Adaka is not a full-time YouTuber but periodically publishes his efforts around his hobby – cars! He’s a member of Celica Owners Kenya and currently owns two Toyota Celicas (different generations).

Automobile Cafe is one of the best automotive YouTube channels in Kenya, and it must be on your subscription list if you love the Project Car Build series.

Automobile Cafe Focus: Project Car Builds, Events, and Reviews.

Charlel Adventures

Charlel Adventures is ideally a road trip YouTube channel run by a car enthusiast – a Toyota Corolla lover. I’ll have to admit. This YouTube channel is quite entertaining. The host rarely speaks, but I’ll guarantee you’ll watch it to the end.

He’s always rolling with his band of brothers and their families – Toyota Corolla lovers. These Toyota-loving band have become so big and put the classic Corolla on the map in East Africa. Their tricked-out cars – and obnoxious exhausts will keep you glued to the screen.

If you want a car YouTube channel that can inspire you on budget travel, please subscribe to Charlel Adventures. It is considered one of the best Automotive YouTube Channels in Kenya.

Icunix

I’ve always compared Icunix’s YouTube channel with The Stradman (without the exotic cars). I’ll be honest – his videos are so entertaining to watch. He started as a Toyota Mark X connoisseur and later branched into random vlogs about his car and boys being themselves.

Icunix doesn’t have a particular focus – he’ll hang out with his car enthusiasts and friends and hit record on the Camera. Run errands with his car parts dealer sidekick and even take you on a round trip to some of the biggest party events in Kenya – he is random like that! And his audience always looks forward to his videos.

Icunix Focus: Random Vlogs, Car Reviews, and Drives.

Mungai Wildart

Mungai Wildart fits in many YouTube categories – including travel- but one thing is always constant in his vlogs – his Land Rover and his girl. Mungai Art YouTube channel is about a couple who travel in their tricked-out old school Land Rover, showcasing their adventures.

The story behind how they got their bumblebee Land Rover (Mungai) is quite interesting – it hardly drove 30 kilometers after it was purchased. And as the saying goes, every Land Rover from the 40s has turned its owner into a Mechanic – the duo currently owns a garage!

Mungai isn’t the exact Land Rover it was when they first purchased it. It has a gracious presence and is quite the head tuner – but it’s still a breakdown queen, which adds so much drama and suspense to the YouTube channel. Mungai Wildart is a YouTube channel that is a must-subscribe in Kenya.

Mungai Wildart Focus: Travel, Random Drives, and Project Car Builds.

The Hulks 254

Here’s the truth. The Hulks 254 is perhaps one of Kenya’s most bespoke automotive YouTube Channels. The narrative behind it is so unique. The channel is run by a couple – who stumble upon an 80s Toyota Corolla and, through the episodes, work to improve it.

The couple are hands-on and try to fix everything they can on the car. Both the hosts feel like they have some experience behind the camera, thanks to how calmly they present their vlogs. All their episodes always seem to have something fresh about it.

Perhaps the biggest thing that has given them a spot on this list is their brilliant idea of including a giveaway in their channel. The Hulks 254 is the first YouTube channel in Kenya and Africa to have a subscriber giveaway. We hope they follow through!

The Hulks 254 Focus: Project Cars, Random Vlogs, DIY, and Bikes.

Motindechu

Well, there’s no YouTube channel in Kenya quite like Motindechu – it’s fairly new and already showing signs of success. Here’s the kicker – it’s Kenya’s first faceless YouTube channel. There is a faceless influencer in Kenya – but that’s a cooking show on TikTok!

The host behind Motindechu is the only YouTuber not in Nairobi – but he is getting national eyeballs. The channel is relatively new, and it’s hard to visualize his angle – but you’ll get random visits to the Junk Yard. The host is also doing a project build, and he’s always out and about checking out car events in the periphery.

Motindechu YouTube Channel is a must-subscribe if you love cars.

Motindechu Focus: Project Cars, Car Events, Random Drivers, and DIY.

Evans Ogachi

Evans Ogachi is a classic car lover and advocate. After a couple of videos, you’ll quickly learn that he is a built-not-bought fan, and you’ll have to catch him dead driving any of these modern cars. I’m curious, though – would he pass the latest GT-R if the offer was thrown at him? He is a Nissan aficionado, after all.

Evans Ogachi mainly does project car reviews. He’s an architect by day and a die-hard car enthusiast at night. He’s also a DIY advocate – you’ll have to see how his classic Nissan Sunny is set up to understand. It never breaks down!

Evans is always full of life. We have a running joke that Redbull needs to endorse his videos – the man is always so pumped during his interviews – lest we forget his director.

Evan Ogachi Focus: Project Cars, Travel, Car Events, and DIY.
